That you are a slave, Neo. Like every one else, you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison... for your mind.

What is real? How do you define real?

If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

This is the world that you know, the world as it was at the end of the 20th. century. It exists now only as part of a neural-interactive simulation, that we call the Matrix.

Control, the Matrix is a computer-generated dream world, built to keep us under control, in order to change the human being into this (a battery).

Si te refieres a aquello que puedes sentir, lo que puedes oler, lo que puedes saborear y ver, entonces real es simplemente señales electricas interpretadas por tu cerebro.

Este es el mundo que tú conoces, el mundo tal como fue en los finales del siglo XX. Ahora solo existe como parte de una simulación neuro-interactiva, que nosotros llamamos la Matriz.

¿Qué es la Matriz?

Control, la Matriz es un sueño generado por computadoras, construido para mantenernos bajo control, con el propósito de convervir al ser humano en esto (una bateria).

La Matriz es un sistema, Neo. Ese sistema es nuestro enemigo. Pero cuendo estás dentro de él, miras al rededor y ¿qué ves? - Hombres de negocio, maestros, abogados, carpinteros... las mismísimas mentes de esa gente que queremos tratar de salvar. Pero hasta que lo hagamos, esa gente siguen siendo parte del sistema, y por tanto son nuestros enemigos.

Tienes que entender que mucha de esa gente no están listas para ser liberadas. Y muchos de ellos son tan desperanzadamente dependientes del sistema, que hasta lucharían por protegerlo.
